THE GARDEN PARTY FUNDRAISER
Thanks to all who came out to support The Emmanuel Center on May 30 at John Loftin’s farmstead in Red Banks, MS. The Emmanuel Center serves people through programs that inspire spiritual, physical, and educational growth. The center provides recreational activities and continued learning and developing programs that include spiritual direction, social service programs, educational enrichment, and organized sports. The center started in 1989, when the Rev. Colenzo Hubbard was called to minister in South Memphis, one of the poorest neighborhoods in the USA. Due to your generous donations, The Emmanuel Center will be receiving a check from Saint Andrew’s Church for over $18,700.
MAKE A JOYFUL NOISE UNTO THE LORD
On Wednesday, July 22, from 6:00–8:00 pm, we’re having an evening of fellowship and hymn singing in the parish hall. The blessing and transformational energy of group singing is very real, and the blessing of fellowship with your fellow Saint Andrew’s parishioners is equally real. We’ll have a potluck meal, followed by singing from our hymn book. We’ll sing favorites and also a few less familiar hymns. The Hymnal 1982 is filled with glorious hymns that can raise your soul to heaven. Let’s have a fun evening exploring old and new in praises to God and reflection on his grace and mercy. Sign-ups for attendance and the potluck are posted in the parish hall. We need an accurate count by July 19 so the church can provide the needed amount of fried chicken for the potluck. Parishioners can sign up for side dishes & desserts.
Saint Andrew's is once again participating in Operation Backpack for the Emmanuel Episcopal Center. We supply approximately 325 children and youth with a backpack and school supplies. They will be able to "shop" for their supplies on Saturday, July 25, at the Emmanuel Center. Setup is Friday, July 24. Let Julie or Jill know if you would like to help set up or attend the event, and we'll get you more details! We'd love to have you join us. Donations are being accepted for this program. The average cost of a backpack and supplies is $35.00; checks can be made out to Saint Andrew's and marked "Operation Backpack."

WEEKLY ANNOUNCEMENTS - JULY 5
At Saint Andrew's, we seek to glorify God through Prayer, Study, and Work. We desire to be large enough to make
a significant impact in evangelism and outreach, yet small enough to be intimate in prayer and a genuine faith
community. We invite you to explore our website and join us as we strive to be the Body of Christ on Earth.
