Daughters of the King
e Order of the Daughters of the King is a spiritual sisterhood in existence since 1885, composed of women who are dedicated to a life of prayer, service, and evangelism. We are lay and ordained women who have made a commitment to Jesus as our Savior, and we follow Him as Lord of our lives. We are women who, in the midst of our daily lives, find community and spiritual support in local chapters. Today our membership includes women in the Episcopal, Anglican, Lutheran (ELCA), and Roman Catholic churches. There are approximately 25,000 Daughters of the King in the USA and over 5,000 in 20 countries around the world. The Daughters of the King at Saint Andrew’s Church was chartered as Saint Mary of Magdala chapter in 2002. Any woman communicant in the Episcopal Church who accepts the two rules of the order, the rule of prayer and the rule of service, is eligible for membership. Information about the order can be found at Daughters of the King National Organization
