Jesus’ ministry consisted of announcing the Good News (God is close by as King), teaching, healing the sick and expelling demons. He reconciled people to God and one another. This ministry is our ministry. Jesus called together His disciples and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to cure every disease and every sickness. (Mt 10:1) The spirit of our age is secular and even the church is impacted by the assumptions of modernism. However, real illnesses (of mind, body, soul) continue to plague humanity and the healing light and love of Jesus remains available as a life giving power to those who believe. The parish mission to be faithful in the work of Jesus Christ includes an emphasis on the authority of Believers to continue His mission. For this reason we have established a local chapter of the Order of St. Luke.

The International Order of St. Luke the Physician (OSL) consists of clergy and lay persons who are called to the healing ministry of Jesus.  Our Chapter’s members firmly believe that Jesus heals today just as He did 2000 years ago, and they seek to fill the gap between the person in need and God.
Their commitment is to pray, study, and share the healing word of Jesus Christ.  Members meet weekly, attend the Saturday healing service, visit those in the hospital and nursing homes, and pray daily for those in need.  If you would like healing prayers, contact a member of OSL or church staff.  To learn more about this group, visit our Saturday evening healing service or contact Jean Woods.
